Timekeeper

Timekeeper, 2007, 84″x34″, Medical scans, watercolor, ink, and graphite on paper

Timekeeper is a composite of medical images that were scanned, resized to life-size, and then printed on watercolor paper. The blank areas were filled in based on a reimagined body that shows millennia of evolution, centuries of industrial progress, and one individual lifetime.

This project is partially supported by a CAAP grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
